Brown Derby 1940's Theme Party

If you can imagine it, we can make it happen!

Would you like to recreate the glamour and ambience of Hollywood's most famous gathering place of the 1940s - The Brown Derby Restaurant?

To recreate the Hollywood ambience, large white stucco facades modeled on the actual Brown Derby architecture were built including the famous green entry canopy.   We backlit the room with ambers and light rose tints to create a warm and inviting Southern California ambience.   Arriving guests were met and fawned over by Elizabeth Taylor, Humphrey Bogart, Gloria Swanson, Clark Gable, Charlie Chaplin, Harpo Mark, Mae West and others.   Photographers dressed as reporters were inundated as guests posed with the 'stars'.

An orchestra opened with 'Moonlight Serenade' while guests were being seated.

To everyone's surprise, many guests actually got up and danced between the tables. As a grand finale, Judy Garland closed the evening with a dramatic rendition of 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' Departing guests were presented with an autographed copy of The Brown Derby Restaurant signed by the authors.
